type design
prism regular / bold
developed a custom typeface to give pat, prism's mascot, a voice. the letterforms are intentionally imperfect, with irregular widths and a mix of weights that feel more human than polished.
goal
create a typeface that captures pat's personality. something that feels hand-drawn and approachable, not clinical or precise. the type needed to work across prism's brand while standing out as distinctly pat.
approach
leaned into the imperfections. the irregular widths and mixed proportions aren't bugs, they're the point. pat isn't perfect, and the typeface reflects that. designed in regular and bold weights to give flexibility across different applications.
outcome
a custom typeface that gives pat a distinct voice within the prism brand. used across social, editorial, and brand moments where pat shows up. imperfect on purpose.
